Unlike traditional self-storage, we take care of the handling for you. Our experienced team can professionally pack and collect your belongings, place them securely into storage and arrange delivery when you’re ready for them again.
Storage as Part of Your Overseas Move
Sometimes your belongings and your moving dates don’t line up perfectly.
You may be moving into temporary accommodation, waiting for your new home to become available or relocating somewhere where you won’t initially have room for everything you own.
We can arrange storage before your shipment leaves Australia or at your destination, depending on your requirements.
If you’re not sure how long you’ll need storage, talk to your Moving Consultant when planning your move and we can incorporate it into your moving arrangements.
Storage While Waiting for a Groupage Service
If you’re using one of our Groupage (shared container) services, we can collect your belongings on the agreed uplift date and hold them securely at our warehouse at no additional storage charge while they await loading into the next available Overseas Packers & Shippers Groupage container.
This allows you to arrange packing and collection around your moving date without having to keep your belongings at home while waiting for the next Groupage departure.
This applies specifically to the period between your agreed uplift date and loading into the next available Overseas Packers & Shippers Groupage container and is not a general free-storage service.
Long-Term Storage
If you’re relocating overseas temporarily or simply don’t want to take everything with you, we can store the belongings you’d prefer to leave in Australia.
This can be particularly useful if you’re moving into a smaller home or apartment overseas, aren’t sure how long you’ll be away or simply want to keep certain furniture and personal belongings safely in Australia.
Storage can be arranged for short or extended periods, and when you’re ready for your belongings again, talk to us about arranging their collection or delivery.
Not Moving Overseas? You Can Still Store With Us
Our storage facilities aren’t just for international moving customers.
If you need secure storage but don’t require 24/7 access to your belongings, our service can be a practical alternative to traditional self-storage.

Storage Insurance
Insurance is available for belongings placed into storage.
If you take out transit insurance as part of an international move, this includes up to 30 days of storage cover at both origin and destination at no additional premium. If you require storage for longer, the insurance can be extended for the required period for a small additional premium.
If you’re placing belongings into storage independently of an international move, we can also offer storage insurance for longer-term or indefinite storage.
We’ll provide you with the relevant insurance documentation so you can review the available cover, terms, conditions and exclusions and decide whether it’s appropriate for your circumstances.

Do you offer free storage?
We don’t offer general free storage.
If you’re using an OPS Groupage (shared container) service, however, your belongings can be held at our warehouse at no additional storage charge from the agreed uplift date until they’re loaded into the next available OPS Groupage container.
Storage required outside this period or for other reasons may incur storage charges. Our team can confirm what applies to your particular move.
Do I have to be moving overseas to use your storage facility?
No. Our Brisbane storage service is available whether you’re moving overseas or simply need somewhere to store your belongings.
We regularly assist customers who are renovating, downsizing, decluttering, between homes or requiring longer-term storage.
Can you collect my belongings and put them into storage?
Yes. Our removalist team can arrange to collect your belongings and transport them to our storage facility.
We can also provide professional packing and wrapping where required.
How long can I store my belongings?
We offer both short and long-term storage, so the length of time will depend on your requirements.

Can I access my belongings while they're in storage?
Our storage service is different from traditional 24/7 self-storage and is designed primarily for belongings that you don’t need to access regularly.

Can you store some belongings and ship the rest overseas?
Yes. You don’t have to take everything with you.
We can arrange for some belongings to be stored in Australia while the remainder are professionally packed and shipped overseas. This can be particularly useful if you’re moving temporarily or into a smaller home at your destination.
Are my belongings insured while in storage?
Storage insurance is available.
