For Asian destinations, our shipping options include Less than Container Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL) and air freight.
Moving to Asia with Overseas Packers & Shippers
One of the most important parts of a move to Asia is making sure the destination requirements are understood before your belongings leave Australia.
Customs rules can vary significantly between countries and can also depend on your circumstances. For example, different requirements may apply to returning residents, first-time immigrants, temporary residents or people entering a country under a particular visa or residency status.
Some destinations may also require you to complete registrations, obtain documents or take certain steps after you enter the country but before your household shipment can be shipped.
That’s why we don’t simply ship your belongings and deal with the paperwork later.
Before your shipment departs, we’ll introduce you to your local move coordinator at destination. They’ll work directly with you to confirm the customs requirements, documentation and any steps that need to be completed for your particular circumstances.
Once the destination team is satisfied that everything required is in place we arrange to ship your belongings to suit your arrival timeframe.
This approach helps reduce the risk of your belongings arriving before they are able to clear customs, which can otherwise result in delays, storage charges and additional destination costs.

For larger moves, we can arrange an obligation-free in-home or virtual survey via FaceTime or WhatsApp to assess the volume of your belongings and discuss the available shipping options.
Destination Customs Review:
Before your belongings are shipped, we’ll introduce you to the local destination partner who will be handling your move when it arrives. Your destination move coordinator will work with you to establish the customs requirements that apply to your circumstances and confirm the documentation or registrations that need to be completed.
Requirements may differ depending on whether you are a returning resident, new immigrant, temporary resident or entering under another status, so this step is particularly important for moves to Asia. We’ll wait for the destination team to confirm they are satisfied with the arrangements before proceeding with shipment.
Professional Packing:
Once your move is ready to proceed, our experienced crew will professionally pack and prepare your belongings for international transportation.
Different packing methods and materials are used depending on the items being moved, from everyday household belongings and furniture through to artwork and fragile pieces.
Shipping:
We’ll arrange the agreed LCL, FCL or air freight service and provide the relevant shipping information once your shipment has departed.
Because your destination partner is already familiar with your move and customs circumstances, you’ll have a local Moving Consultant ready to assist well before your belongings arrive.
Customs Clearance and Delivery:
When your shipment reaches its destination, your local Moving Consultant will coordinate the customs clearance process using the documentation and information already prepared with you.
Once clearance requirements have been completed, they’ll arrange delivery to your new home or discuss storage if required.
Customs Requirements When Moving to Asia
Customs requirements vary considerably throughout Asia and should be considered before your belongings are shipped.
The rules can depend on:

- The type of visa or permission you hold

When will I speak with the company delivering my belongings?
You’ll be introduced to your destination moving partner before your belongings leave Australia.
This means you’ll already know who is handling your move locally, and they can work directly with you on customs requirements and arrival arrangements before your shipment reaches the country.
Once your belongings arrive, the same destination team will coordinate customs clearance and delivery to your new home.
